Senior citizens in Greenville, Pennsylvania, were invited to attend an expo at the Greenville Alliance Church on Friday.

The expo was hosted at the Greenville Alliance Church from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. by State Senator Michele Brooks (R-PA).

The event aimed to connect attendees to nonprofits and other community groups in the area.

Free health screenings and some vaccines, such as the flu shot, pneumonia and Tdap, were also available, according to Senator Brooks.

"We have a bone density test... Sharon Regional is here taking blood pressure, we're giving flu shots," said Senator Brooks.

Additionally, those in attendance could write a Christmas card or bring a personal care item to be donated to the troops around Christmastime.

Senator Brooks concluded that the ultimate aim of the expo was to help community members get access to resources that could help them.

"Just offering a one-stop shop for all of the services that hopefully will make the lives of our senior citizens, our loved ones, easier," said Senator Brooks.
