COLUMBIANA CITY - The Columbiana Craft BeerFest Committee is returning its annual beer festival this Saturday to help benefit a local playground.

The ticketed event, exclusive to guests ages 21 and over, will present live music, local food trucks, vendors and beer samplings from more than 10 area breweries.

Proceeds made from the festival will go towards the Columbiana Project Playground, a local nonprofit organization seeking to replace Funland in Columbiana's Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park with a modern, fun, safe and accessible playground.

"If you're from this area, you have great memories tied to Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park and we want to ensure that legacy continues for future generations. This year, that means ongoing support for the creation of a new, safe and inclusive playground for all," said Committee Member Mary Ann Green.

The cost of admission is $30 in advance through the BeerFest's website or $40 at the gate. Each ticket will include 10 tasting tickets and a 13oz master crafter tasting glass.

The festival is Saturday, September 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the TownCenter at Firestone Arms, located at 101 Town Center Avenue in Columbiana.
