Trumbull County security breach impacts Recorder's Office

WARREN - A security breach in Trumbull County that 21 News first reported on Friday is still affecting the Trumbull County Recorder's Office as of Monday afternoon.
As a result, the Recorder's Office is temporarily suspending all e-filings and access to the county recorder's public information. Additionally, filings can only take place in person, with limited services available.
Trumbull County Recorder Dawn Zinni said in a press release that the Trumbull County Auditor. along with the IT department, are working diligently to resolve the situation.
Zinni tells 21 News the issue is not limited to Trumbull County, but any other state office that uses the same software as the Trumbull County Recorder's Office.
While unclear if this is affecting any other department in the Mahoning Valley, both the Mahoning and Columbiana County Recorder's Offices tell 21 News this outage does not affect them because they are using different software than Trumbull County.
There is still no estimated time frame for when the situation will be rectified before services return to normal.
