2000: R. Michael Brown, project manager for Heery International Inc., which will oversee the $163 million Youngstown School District rebuilding project, tells the Board of Education that he is looking for minority and woman-owned businesses to bid on the work.
The new Austintown office of the Seven-Seventeen Credit Union at Mahoning Avenue and Victoria Road is named a merit winner in the Civic Improvement Awards competition sponsored by the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce.
