HUBBARD - A dog from Trumbull County is competing in Colossal's America's Favorite Pet Competition. The competition raises funds and awareness for the Progressive Animal Welfare Society.

Charlotte (pictured above) is a 3-year-old French Bulldog, and lives with her owner Katie Costello in Hubbard. She is known to be an "active, fun, loving, wild and crazy girl".

In the previous five rounds of the competition, Charlotte has consistently held 1st place and is currently competing in the quarter-finals.

Votes can be made on a daily basis. If you would like to cast a vote for Charlotte, those can be made here. Voting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 26.

The dog who is awarded 1st place will be featured on the cover of Modern Dog Magazine and win $10,000.

If Charlotte wins the competition, $4,000 of the grand prize will benefit All About the Pawz in Austintown, and $1,000 will be donated to Assateague Island Alliance, a non-profit that promotes awareness and education of Assateague Island's wildlife and natural resources.

Costello is requesting the community's support for her and Charlotte as the competition nears its end.

"Every vote becomes a voice for the voiceless, and every step forward in this journey allows me to turn passion into real impact for the animals and communities who need it most," Costello said.
