The Trumbull County Planning Commission (TCPC) announced its March 2026 'Something Good' Initiative recipient.
The commission chose Teresa Miller (pictured above), the Executive Director of Valley Economic Development Partners, based on her continued dedication to strengthening the Mahoning Valley, according to a release.
Miller has been involved in economic development for over a decade, previously serving as a portfolio manager with Valley Partners before becoming the organization's Executive Director in 2020.
Valley Partners secured nearly $30 million in funding for small business development under Miller's leadership. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Miller and Valley Partners helped more than 750 small businesses and their employees by securing about $35 million in Paycheck Protection Program funding, the release stated.
"In recognition of Women's History Month, the Planning Commission is honored to celebrate Ms. Miller's leadership and commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, strengthening small businesses and advancing economic opportunity throughout the Mahoning Valley," the release stated.
