Emergency crews searched for more than an hour for a drowning victim at Guilford Lake State Park in Columbiana County.

Authorities pulled a 22-year-old New Jersey man out of the lake around 11 p.m. last night.

According to a park officer, the man was visiting the area with his girlfriend for her family reunion.

The victim was swimming with a group when he went under the water and never came back up.

Authorities have not released the man's name. The Columbiana Coroner is investigating the incident.
