PBGC assumes responsibility for pensions of PTC Alliance Corp.

WEXFORD, Pennsylvania - The government is taking over the pensions from a bankrupt company that has plants in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
PTC Alliance Corporation has offices in Wexford, Pennsylvania and plants around the world including Beaver Falls and Darlington, Pennsylvania. PTC also has two facilities in Alliance, Ohio.
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation says it will assume responsibility for the underfunded pension plan that covers 750 employees and retirees.
