BBB cautions homeowners over door-to-door security systems
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Homeowners in Youngstown are being cautioned that efforts to keep their homes safe could leave them open to greater risk.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Homeowners in Youngstown are being cautioned that efforts to keep their homes safe could leave them open to greater risk.
The Better Business Bureau has received complaints of a company called Platinum Protection, LLC, out of Utah, that is going from door-to-door selling home security systems.
According to a release from the bureau, the company carries a BBB rating of C-plus, due to the 405 complaints the bureau has received over the last 36 months about it.
Salespeople offer monitoring equipment at no cost in an effort to get consumers to sign a contract on the spot.
The bureau encourages consumers to take their time and not be pressured into quick decisions.
