The Mahoning Valley will be represented this weekend at Churchill Downs.  Valley businessman Bruce Zoldan is part owner of a horse in the Kentucky Derby this Saturday.

The horse's name is Animal Kingdom and is part of the Team Valor Stable.  This is the second time Zoldan has had an entry in The Derby.  Three years ago, Visionaire was in the race and finished 12th.  Zoldan tells 21 Sports he feels more confident with this year's entry.

He says the experts in his organization feel that Animal Kingdom is "an up and coming colt that may be peaking at the right time."  Zoldan adds, he doesn't "want to put Visionnaire down," but he thinks this horse has a much better chance.

Zoldan also has a entry in the Kentucky Oaks.  Summer Soiree has been getting good reviews and has a chance to place as well.  That race will be on Friday, May 6th.

You can watch coverage of the Kentucky Derby this Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m. on 21 WFMJ.
