SLIPPERY ROCK, Pennsylvania (AP) - A spokesman says Slippery Rock University is conducting its own investigation into two students charged in an alleged off-campus rape, before deciding what action to take.

Online court records do not list attorneys or addresses for the students arrested Saturday, 21-year-old Bryan Chieze and 22-year-old Braydon Micaletti, both of New Castle.

Borough police say both assaulted the woman after overpowering her in a home on Sept. 29.

A witness told police she opened the door to a room and saw the victim was hysterical. When she reopened the door seconds later, the witness says Micaletti was in a fetal position and Chieze begged her not to tell his girlfriend what she saw.

The Associated Press could not immediately reach either suspect.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review first reported the arrests.
