BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio - The Bristol School District has closed its school following a power outage.

Bristol superintendent Marty Santillo of the district said a last minute power outage forced staff members to close the school down for the day.

Parents have been called to pick up students at the school.

FirstEnergy official Robyn Patton confirmed that a small power outage affected about 1,200 customers in Trumbull County but said that a cause had not been determined.

Power has since returned to all customers affected this morning. However, Santillo could not confirm if power to the school had been restored and said it would remain closed for the day.
