The Austintown Township Fireworks Celebration is back tonight after a seven year hiatus.
The show will go on in the event of light rain. The only reason for cancellation would be heavy lightning and rain.
The fun began long before dark.
Here's what you need to know if you plan to attend:
Location - Austintown Township Park (Kirk Road, West of Route 46 and East of Turner Road)
Admission - Free
Parking - Free (Inside the park)
4:30 p.m. - Celebration begins. Food vendors open. Fire trucks on display
4:30 to 6:30 - Live band on stage
6:30 to 8:30 - Clowns entertain and appearance by Batman
7:30 to 9:30 - Live band on stage
9:30 - Police begin closing Kirk Road from Route 46 to Turner Road. Traffic will be diverted, so don't be late if you want admission to the fireworks display.
10:00- 10:22 p.m. Fireworks display to the sound of music
10:30 - Kirk road reopens only to traffic leaving the park.
11:00 p.m. - Kirk road reopens to all traffic.
