WARREN, Ohio - A man who received a community award in Warren says he's innocent of six criminal charges filed against him.

23-year-old Roderick Lewis Junior appeared in Trumbull County Court on Friday where he plead not guilty to charges which include theft from an elderly person, misuse of a credit card and impersonating a police officer.

Investigators say Lewis rang up more than two thousand dollars in charges on credit cards stolen from a 93-year-old woman. Lewis allegedly impersonated a Warren police officer to gain the confidence of the victim.

Lewis made a name for himself through his charitable work with neighborhood groups in Warren.

The judge set bond for Lewis at $25,000.
