NILES, Ohio - Bob Evans is treating veterans to stacks of hotcakes as a thank you for serving our country.

On Monday, the restaurant chain told veterans and active duty personnel that the check was on the house.

Those who took up the Eastwood Mall location on this offer say they're thankful for the kind gesture.

"I appreciate it. All of us appreciate it, because we went there and it was something that we had to do," said veteran Cohen Phillips from Warren, Ohio.

All service men and women have to do is show their military ID to take advantage of the free breakfast.
