GIRARD, Ohio - The suspect who allegedly robbed a Charter One Bank in Girard, then stopped for lunch at a hot dog shop is expected in court on Monday.

Robert Naples, 42, was spotted by Detective Greg Manente while he was off duty. Manente, his son, and a son's friend were at the Jib Jab in Girard when he noticed someone who fit the description of the Bank Robber. The detective told his son to call his mom to pick them up, took a few clandestine photos, and followed the suspect who left the restaurant and began to run. He called police who set up a perimeter. Liberty police arrested Naples on the Interstate 80 ramp.
The teller at the Charter One told police that at first she thought the man was joking when he told her to give him all of her $50 and $100 dollar bills. The employee said, "The man then said he had a gun."
