The accident happened near the intersection of N. Bridge St. and Broad St on Sunday

Police responded to a call from the train company that they had hit a person who had run on to the tracks.

The train came to a stop about a mile from the scene.

Police and other emergency personnel searched for the victim for nearly 20 minutes. Once found, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
