Boardman movie theatre re-opens Friday

The second run movie theatre that closed in Boardman after 21 years in operation opens again on Friday.
The owner of Encore Cinemas, which operates Cinema Six in Niles, the Skyway Twin Drive-in and Laser Storm in Warren, will be showing films again at the Movies Eight at the Shops at Boardman Park.
Encore Cinema owner, Brian DeCiancio, tells 21 News that they have installed digital projectors.
DeCiancio and the management of The Shops at Boardman Park are partners in the new cinematic venture.
David Handel, owner/manager of the Shops at Boardman Park states “The Shops at Boardman Park has remained focused on fulfilling the shopping and entertainment needs of our community. We pride ourselves in the fact that The Shops is locally owned and operated."
The first slate of movies include 3D showings of the animated Rio Two and the Amazing Spiderman Two.
Admission is $3 for regular movies, and $5 for 3D features.
