YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown mother spoke out Tuesday during the sentencing of the man convicted of murdering her teenage son.
In April, a jury found Lamar Reese guilty of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery in the death of 17-year old Josh Davis.
Marsha Watkins, the mother of the victim, said she forgives Reese in her heart. "I forgive him because he has to stand accountable for what he has done to Josh, and what he has done to our family." said Watkins.
Judge Maureen Sweeney sentenced Reese to 20 years to life for aggravated murder, 10 years for aggravated robbery, plus three years for a gun specification. Reese maintains his innocence and said he will appeal his conviction.
