Salem Tim Hortons opens Tuesday

SALEM, Ohio - A Canadian based fast food chain continues to expand its reach in the Mahoning Valley starting this week.
A Tim Hortons café and bake shop will open for business in Salem at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday according to company officials.
The business is located at 2262 State Street in the former Bruster's ice cream shop which closed about three years ago.
The Tim Hortons chain of cafes and bake shops originated in 1964 in Canada, and have since expanded the franchise to the United States.
The chain sells coffee, breakfast food and other bakery goods.
There are Hortons franchises in Hermitage, Pa, and Calcutta, Ohio. Construction is expected to begin in March on two more Tim Hortons in Austintown. One will be located at the site of the current BP station at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road, and a second Tim Hortons quick service will be built where another BP is located on Route 46 near Interstate 80.
