Are you concerned about who is coming to your door when you are away? Or maybe you want to know who is coming into your house when you are not home.
There are two new high tech devices, hitting the market, that take home security to a whole new level.
One of them is being labeled the doorbell of the future. 'Ring' is a video doorbell that automatically sends a video feed to your cell phone, no matter where you are, when someone presses the button.
The doorbell connects to your in-home Wi-Fi network, and works in conjunction with a free smartphone app. When someone rings the doorbell you'll be connected to a live stream with the visitor, and have the ability to speak with them from anywhere.
You can see them but they can't see you, and you can talk to them over your phone as if you were there.
Even if they don't press the button, 'Ring' has a motion detector that will send you a motion alert if someone is lurking around your door.
It also has night vision and cloud storage, and can be purchased online for about $200.
Home security cameras are nothing new, but a new version uses facial recognition software to decide who should and should not be in your house.
It's called 'Welcome', a surveillance camera that can be customized to send your smartphone the names of the people it recognizes, who are in your home. It can also send you notifications of people it does not recognize so you can always know if someone is in your home.
The camera is designed to protect the privacy of each person that is recognized, and allows you to decide if you want notifications for them.
'Welcome' even has night vision for those late-night visitors, and all the video recorded is stored on an SD card if you need it.
The camera is expected to be available this summer, and has not yet been priced.
