A Boardman man has been convicted of charges filed after he robbed a pizza shop then led police on a pursuit that ended crash on Market Street.
20-year-old Matthew Koziorynsky pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges of robbery and failing to comply with the order of a police officer.
Investigators say Koziorynsky robbed Marco's Pizza on Youngstown-Poland Road in December 2013.
Youngstown police chased the suspect's pickup truck which eventually flipped over at Market Street and Withers Drive in Boardman.
Police recovered a bandanna, butcher knife, and cash were taken as evidence from the truck.
Koziorynsky was injured in the crash.
He'll learn his punishment after the court conducts a pre-sentence investigation.
