The Trumbull County Coroner says a Hubbard man whose body was found along a city street over the weekend died from a single gunshot wound to the head and neck.

Dr. Humphrey D. Germaniuk ruled the death of 26-year-old Cody Pitts a homicide on Monday.

The body of the Orchard Avenue man was discovered shortly before 3:30 a.m. Saturday when police received a 911 call that a person was lying in the street near the Downtown Coffee Café on North Main Street.

Police officials have been reviewing nearby surveillance video and contacting anyone whom Pitts may have spoken with before his death.

Investigators have not named a suspect in the case.
