A new treatment facility is preparing to open in Warren to help addicts kick their habits.

promises to treat those struggling with drug and alcohol abuse.

The private detox and treatment center is setting up services in the heart of the city off of Youngstown-Warren Road.

Demand for addiction services is increasing amid the heroin epidemic.

The grand opening is set for May, but the waiting list for patients is already growing.

"We have about 40 people on our waiting list and we don't open until officially May 5, we'll be taking our first patients in that day," Tom Dailey, co-owner of the center.

The facility can hold up to 16 patients at a time. Detox patients usually stay at the center five to six days, before they're referred to continued long-term treatment.

The center is accredited by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
