The Wilson Hall of Fame inducted new members Sunday night..


Woodrow Wilson High School, with its first graduating class n 1939, was one of six public high schools in Youngstown, serving neighborhoods sunounding its former location at Gibson Sheet and Indianola Avenue on the South Side. The school was closed in 2007 and was razed the following year.


This year's class included State judges, educators, architects and a grammy winning composer.


Joseph Nudo (Class of 1951) - All City tackle on the 1950 football team; teacher at Wilson High School for 31 years and coach for 27 years; Coach and Academic Advisor at YSU.


Richard Marsico (Class of f 953) - Founder of Richard A. Marsico & Associates, Consulting Engineers and Associates; Former U. S. Army Reserve Officer; Consultant , Engineer & Chief Building Official for many local communities; Past Mahoning County Engineer, Deputy Director of Public Works, and City Engineer for the City of Youngstown.


Paul Ricciuti (Class of 1953) - Practicing Architect in Youngstown; Major Projects include: Wilson Middle School and East High School, the Magg Library, DeBartolo Hall, McDonough Museum, Wick Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, Wick Pollock Inn, Main Library Addition, Butler Institute of American Art, and the Arms Museum; Past President of Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center, Liberty Rotary Club, Youngstown Symphony Society: Trustee of Mahoning Valley Historical Society.


James Hyre, PhD (Class of 1959) - Career educator in Ohio Public Schools, past Superintendent of Hamilton County Schools, Columbus Public Schools, Canton City Schools, and Howland Local Schools; Director of Personnel, Warren City Schools; Principal, Warren G. Harding High School; Principal, Brown Junior High Sohool; Teacher, Numerous awards including: "Superintendent of the Year" 1993 and 1987.


Dr. Thomas Vukovich (Class of 1960) - Interim Executive Director of Enrollment Management at YSU: University of Alffon: Associate Provost for Student and Enrollment Services; Assistant Vice President for Student Support Services; Interim Dean, University College; Assistant Dean, University College; Advisor of students.


Mary Lou Lidle Yaist (Class of 1961) - Registered Nurse 40 years: Operating room nurse; service to disabled children many of which were Native American from the Pine Ridge Reservation; Director of Medical Case Management of America; Executive Director of Home Care Network serving the medically disabled; Director of The Love Pantry affiliated with the Harvest Food Bank: Staff member of Habitat for Humanity. The 63/64 Basketball Team - District Championship Team under Coach Robert Thompson,


The Hon. Joseph Vukovich (Class of 1963) - Judge of the State of Ohio Seventh District Court of Appeals; sat on the Ohio Supreme Court as a visiting Judge; Former State Representative and State Senator; Ohio Assistant Attorney General; Deputy Law Director for the City of Youngstown; decorated soldier of the US Army, as an infantryman, assigned to the l0l st Airborne Division in Vietnam.


William Bodine (Class of 1968) - Grammy winning composer; composer and member of numerous recording bands and television commercials. Established the "Tony Leonardi Memorial Jazz Scholarship" at YSU; credited as the "Founding Father" of the YSU Jazz music program; serves on the YSU College of Fine and Performing Arts Board of Visitors; co-founder of Creative Bridge Coalition serving special needs children.


Terri Ann Richards-Naughton (Class of f 985) - Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD) affecting soldiers and families at Fort Carson, CO: Army Victim Advocate, Army Risk Reduction Program Manager, Army Substance Abuse Program Case Manager and Provider in Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Programs
