YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Trial is underway in Mahoning County for a Youngstown man accused of murdering his fifteen-month-old son.

Twenty-six-year-old Larry Dawson Jr. is charged with murder and two counts of child endangering.

Authorities say Dawson abused and caused serious physical harm to his son Rayvon, causing his death in December of 2012.

Dawson has been in the Mahoning County jail since his bond was revoked one year ago.

Court documents say he violated terms of his house arrest by cutting off his electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.
