Alleged Brookfield robber charged with second robbery

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man, accused of robbing a Brookfield discount store, allegedly held up another business two days before.
Jorge Israel Reyes-Avila, 30, was questioned by Geauga County detectives about a July 14th aggravated robbery at Parkman Township's Frozen D-Lite store.
Detectives say that Reyes-Avila admitted to the Parkman robbery during questioning.
The suspect was already in custody in Trumbull County after being arrested for allegedly robbing a Brookfield Dollar General at knife point Thursday afternoon.
Police say the suspect threatened the manager of the Warren Sharon Road store with a knife and demanded money. The suspect received the money and fled in a vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.
Reyes-Avila was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, the first of what is now two such counts against him.
He is currently being held in Trumbull County Jail and will be transferred to Geauga County upon release.
