CLEVELAND, Ohio - A bombshell in the Oak Hill Public Corruption case Friday, as a confidential informant was revealed during a public hearing on the evidence in the case.

Despite the Special Prosecutor's objection, confidential informant number one took the witness stand and his identity was revealed for the first time. Long time Youngstown political consultant Harry Strabula admitted on the witness stand that he has been working with the FBI and recording former Mahoning County Auditor Michael Sciortino.

Sources tell 21 News that Strabula was not under investigation and was not the target of the investigation at the time he was working with the FBI.

This all came about because attorneys representing defendants Mayor John McNally and former county Auditor Michael Sciortino are challenging prosecutors in the Oak Hill public corruption case.

A case with a witness list of at least 100 people.

The defense is questioning; where are the two-thousand hours of recordings?

The defense says they've only received about 780 hours of tapes.

However, Special Prosecutor Dan Kasaris says he asked the FBI to search for more recordings.

"I want you to go through your recordings and make sure you gave me everything," Kasaris said.

Special Prosecutor Kasaris now says the FBI has found 12 additional tapes that he will provide to the defense as evidence, but he says they do not contain anything related to the three men indicted.

Two former prosecutors from the first Oak Hill indictment testified that they were in fact told by the FBI that there were approximately two-thousand hours of tape.

FBI Special Agent Dean Hassman says he never used the term two-thousand and he never had the opportunity to count the number of hours of recordings.
