Pat Catan's bought by Michaels
Michaels Companies, Inc. has announced that it acquired Lamrite West, Inc., the parent company of rival craft store chain Pat Catan's.
IRVING, Texas - Michaels Companies, Inc. has announced that it acquired Lamrite West, Inc., the parent company of rival craft store chain Pat Catan's.
The new owner says the Strongville-based parent company of Pat Catan's will keep its employees and retain its name.
A news release issued by Michael's says they bought Lamrite West for $150 million.
Pat Catan's has stores in Warren, Hermitage, Austintown and Boardman. Michaels has stores in Niles and Boardman.
Michaels has more than 1,100 stores in 49 states and Canada and produces 12 exclusive brands.
Pat Catan's has 31 stores located throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Michigan.
