YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Mahoning County Democrats didn't have many ovals to fill in on their ballots when it came to contested political races during Tuesday's primary election.

In the Democratic contest for Mahoning County Recorder, Noralyn Palermo received more than double the votes cast for Jim Bertrando.

It was no contest for incumbent Congressman Tim Ryan who crushed fellow Democrat John Luchansky with a vote of 85,994 to 10,265.

Republicans had no contested races in Mahoning County.
