WARREN, Ohio - A grand jury has found enough evidence to proceed with criminal charges against a Bazetta Township man who admitted to police that he injected his girlfriend with heroin while her infant son was nearby.
Thirty-six-year-old David Benner faces an April 4 arraignment in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court after being indicted on charges of possessing heroin and child endangering.
Bazetta Township Police were called to Westlake Drive home in February where a woman was reported to be foaming at the mouth.
Officers say Benner told them that his girlfriend, 30-year-old Kathyrn Hollis, had an adverse reaction after he injected her with heroin.
Hollis' infant child was in a crib where the incident occurred. Two older children were also in the house with Hollis' parents.
Hollis was convicted of child endangering and placed on probation for one year.
