YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A man police say is a suspect in Youngstown's latest murder is jailed on $1 million bond, even though he has not been charged with the crime.

Jermaine Bunn, 39, of Youngstown was arraigned Wednesday in municipal court on charges of improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle and having weapons under a disability.

Detectives have said Bunn is a suspect in the weekend shooting death of Michael Pete.

The 30-year-old was shot in the chest on East Evergreen Avenue early Sunday.

Pete died from his injuries after he was taken to a local hospital.

Officers say Bunn also arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.

He has since been transferred to the Mahoning County Justice Center.
