As they've done for the past 7 years, representatives of a Columbiana company will be in Washington D.C. next week for National Police Week to honor officers killed in the line of duty.

Ryan Keller of Compco Industries takes special care to put together a framed lithograph.  It's 16 inches by 20 inches and takes about 25 minutes to assemble.  But what goes through Ryan's mind in that 25 minutes is the sacrifice made by the man or woman pictured in the lithograph. And he's not making just one, He's making 140 of them. One for each officer killed in the line of duty in America in 2015.

"It's a keepsake that they can keep as an heirloom for their family so as people come over to their house the first they they will see is their family member being honored," says Keller.

The lithograph features an officer in dress uniform holding a folded casket flag, scenes from the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington and a photo of the fallen officer.

With the help from some local sponsors Compco has been making these for the families of fallen officers since 2009.  Ryan personally takes them to Washington DC and hands them out to the families.

"There's a lot of emotions that get involved. When you are down there there's a lot of anger and sadness. It's just a small thing we do in Columbiana that impacts the nation and supports our law enforcement community," says Keller.

Ryan figures he's made more than one thousand of these since he started 7 years ago.  One is too many.  It's hard to get that new list of names each April but he knows the work he puts into each lithograph is the least we can do for the families who will display them.
