The fifth bi-annual free Women Veterans Health Fair was held today in Boardman.

The event featured an instructor led chair exercise class along with numerous speakers, including several from World War II.

One woman even served in the Coast Guard at the time and says it's important that the history of World War II doesn't die off with the veterans who served in it.

Virginia Conklin served in World War II and says, "Oh absolutely. That's why I'm so thrilled to speak to some of these people about World War II because it's never mentioned in the history books. And I think it's good so people know what happened -- because the peoople that came home from World War II did not talk about it. They just got on with their lives."

The Women Veterans Health Fair even featured well preserved uniforms from the second World War.
