Members of one 4-H group are using their time at the Trumbull County Fair to collect donations for a local charity.

Stablemates, a saddle club, is accepting toy donations throughout the rest of the week for Toys for Tots.

A donation bin is located in Barn C of the fairgrounds near the Gate D entrance.

The collection is a year-long community service project for the group, and even though collections at the fair officially end Sunday at 4 p.m., Stablemates will still accept donations throughout the remainder of the year.

Group leader Becky Dyson says the club has decorated its barn for Christmas for the collection.

Santa will arrive at the barn Sunday at 4 p.m. to collect the donated toys and take photos with the 4-H members.
