CORTLAND, Ohio - One person was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into the side of the Cortland Sparkle Market on South High Street.

The car struck the brick wall along the deli section of the store shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday.

First responders from Cortland transported a store employee to the hospitals for treatment of injuries that they say are not serious.

The woman driving he car was not injured according to the fire department.

A supervisor at the store tells 21 News that although the deli section is closed, the store remained open for business.

Electricians are inspecting the damage.

Cortland Police have not returned a call from 21 News for more information about the accident and those involved.
