YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One Valley businessman is looking to help other local businesses use social media to grow their companies.

DOYO Live, a marketing conference, is looking to teach business owners how to use the internet to expand. The conference took place at the Youngstown State University Williamson College of Business on Thursday. 

Lowellville native and marketing guru Dennis Schiraldi says he wanted to give Youngstown businesses a resource that they don't yet have.

“I don't think we are necessarily behind the times,” he said.” I think the world as a whole is, you know, trying to figure out how to market our business successfully in an online environment, whether it be business to business or business to consumer.”

Schiraldi says Youngstown is on an upward slope. And the growing local businesses can benefit from reaching out to people on social media and online.
