People from the Valley will be among 100 million around the world expected to be watching tonight when NBC Nightly News Anchor Lester Holt moderates the first presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.

Political parties and politicians are holding debate watching events in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties.

Trumbull County GOP Chairman Randy law tells 21 News that party loyalists will gather at the Quaker Steak and Lube, 2191 Millennium Blvd, Cortland, for a presidential watch party.

Law says the gathering will begin at 8:30 p.m., and continue through the end of the debate.

Dan Polivka, Trumbull County Democratic Party Chairman, says their watch party will be held at the Speakeasy Lounge, 136 North Park Ave., Warren.

The Mahoning County Democratic Party is holding a debate watch party beginning at 8:30 P.M. tonight at V2 Wine Bar and Trattoria, 100 West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.

The Hillary for Ohio campaign is hosting watch parties across Ohio, including one beginning at 8:30 p.m., at the Boardman campaign office 4927 Market Street.

Those interested in attending the Clinton watch party in Boardman are asked to RSVP by following this link.

The Mahoning County Republican Party is hosting a debate watch party at GOP Headquarters, 8381 Market St., Boardman. Party officials say they will have a large TV screen and plenty of seating.

Snacks and light refreshments will be served.

Tonight's debate is being hosted by Hoffstra University in Hempstead, New York.
