AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - Austintown police filed drug and child endangering charges against a couple found in a parking lot with heroin, marijuana and a 16-month-old child.

Acting on tip, officers say found Logan Watson, 22, of Youngstown, Allyssa Gray, 20, of Austintown with their toddler inside a car parked outside the Giant Eagle on Mahoning Avenue late Wednesday.

A search of the car turned up marijuana and a powder that police believe is heroin.

According to the police report, Watson admitted to the arresting officer that he had just snorted heroin prior to the police arriving.

In addition to finding marijuana buds in the car, Gray told police she had some marijuana in her bra.

Police also recovered three Suboxone films from Watson's pocket and two Alprazolam pills.

Both were booked into the Mahoning County jail.

In addition to the child endangering charges both suspects are facing, Watson is charged with possession of heroin and controlled substances.

Gray is also charged with permitting drug abuse in a vehicle, as well as possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

The child was turned over to a grandparent.
