HARRISBURG, Pa. - Many political experts across the nation have said the internal struggles within the Republican Party could impact several Senate seats this year.

One of those closely watched seats is between Republican Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey, and his Democratic Challenger Katie McGinty.

A Real Clear Politics poll average, shows Toomey and McGinty in a statistical tie right now.

Of the last three polls, one shows McGinty winning, another shows Toomey winning, and a third places them at a statistical dead heat.

None of the polls were taken exclusively after the tape of Donald Trump's lewd comments were released.

Toomey is distancing himself from the candidate's rhetoric, but McGinty is quick to say Toomey has let Trump off the hook easy.

"I think we have two badly flawed candidates, that's my view on this. I've been very clear about it, and I've been openly very critical of policy positions that Donald Trump has taken.", said Toomey.

Katie McGinty said, "It's unacceptable for our senator to have stood silent for so long in the face of a campaign that has been divisive and disgusting."
