Campbell Police: Woman was acting as pimp for daughter
The Campbell Police Department's newly-formed Special Investigative Unit has arrested a woman who they say was a prostitute and was offering her 21-year-old daughter as a prostitute as well.

CAMPBELL, Ohio - A Campbell woman is arrested for prostitution and police believe she was acting as a pimp for her 21-year-old daughter.
This is the first of what is expected to be many arrests for the newly formed -- Campbell Police Special Investigations Unit.
Tina M. Schell, 50, of Robinson Road in Campbell was escorted to a Campbell Police cruiser in handcuffs after being arrested at her home Friday morning.
When 21 News asked her if she had any comment Schell commented, "No." She also had nothing to say when asked why she would sell her daughter.
The Campbell Police Special Investigations Unit says it was a citizen's tip that led them to an advertisement on Backpage.com promising a discreet hookup, and it was an undercover sting that led to Schell's Robinson Road home.
Officer Rob Vukovich is with the Campbell Police Special Investigations Unit, "She (Schell) eluded to the fact that there were others involved in this prostitution and she said that her 21-year-old daughter was involved in this and the undercover officer could solicit sexual services from either herself or her daughter."
Schell's daughter has not been charged, but the 50-year-old Campbell woman told police why she allegedly resorted to selling herself.
"She had a very high water bill and she was doing things to generate money for income to pay that bill," Vukovich said.
And for this special unit that was born within the Campbell Police Department in September this marks an important milestone.
"This is the first official arrest of the SIU Unit, however, we foresee in the next 90 to 120 days many more charges being filed against persons or places in the city," Officer Vukovich said.
Campbell Police want to let the citizens know they are listening to their concerns and they are working to crack down on crime and clean up the streets one case at a time. Crimes they are focused on not only include prostitution, but the sale of heroin and fentanyl, guns and street violence.
