Power restored in Warren and Howland
People living in hundreds of homes in the East Market Street area of Warren and Howland woke up in the dark Thursday morning after being hit by a power outage. Warren police called FirstEnergy after neighbors reported that a transformer blew out in the area of Broadway Avenue SE and Northwood Dr. SE. WARREN, Ohio - People living in hundreds of homes in the East Market Street area of Warren and Howland woke up in the dark Thursday morning after being hit by a power outage.
Warren police called FirstEnergy after neighbors reported that a transformer blew out in the area of Broadway Avenue SE and Northwood Dr. SE.
According to FirstEnergy, approximately 1,300 customers are affected by the outage which was reported shortly after 5 a.m.
Most of the outage is in Warren. Fewer than 100 homes and businesses in Howland are without power.
Electricity was restored after approximately one and a half hours.
