AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - A suspicious package discovered at the Austintown GetGo Friday morning, turned out to be nothing more than a child's toy boat.

The Youngstown Police Department's Bomb Squad was called to the GetGo on Mahoning Avenue after an employee discovered a package near a gas pump at around 6:30 a.m.

The first officer on the scene found what he described as something the size of three two-liter bottles covered in tape.

Police called the fire department and temporarily closed access to the business, evacuating employees.

Once the bomb squad arrived on the scene to investigate, they ran the item under an X-Ray and determined it was empty and harmless.

Meanwhile, a man from Mineral Ridge called the police department to reveal it was his child's homemade toy boat that had apparently fallen out of the garbage at the gas station early this morning.

The gas station was opened again for business.
