HERMITAGE, Pa. - The Hermitage skyline will be lit up with fireworks as members of several communities gather to celebrate Independence Day.

Food vendors, concerts, and family fun are all on display at this year's Independence Day festivities in Buhl Park.

This is the second year the event has taken place in the park.

Mandy Shina, a member of the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce, said they are expecting more than 10,000 people to attend.

"The fact that it does bring the community together, with all the different people it's nice to see almost 10,000 people in one area and just enjoying themselves. You have kids, you have grandparents, you have all different generations coming together to enjoy," said Shina.

The fireworks will be set off after dark Sunday evening.
