Poland Schools end contract with teacher accused of misconduct
The Poland Board of Education voted Monday night to end its contract with a Poland Seminary High School teacher who was placed on leave following allegations of misconduct.

POLAND TWP., Ohio - The Poland Board of Education voted Monday night to end its contract with a Poland Seminary High School teacher who was placed on leave following allegations of misconduct.
Cassie Kibler, 30, was placed on administrative leave a year ago after administrators learned that she was allegedly engaged in improper conduct with a student.
Kibler, who was an Italian language teacher at the high school, agreed to surrender her state teaching license last month according to Ohio Department of Education records.
On April 10 the state board permanently revoked Kibler's teaching license.
Poland Superintendent David Janofa told 21 News last year that he first became aware of the allegation when a concerned parent informed school officials that her daughter and another Poland Seminary High School student had been discussing an inappropriate relationship between the teacher and a 17-year-old male student.
School officials contacted the victim's parents and Janofa said they met with the student.
Janofa told 21 News in April of last year that police had taken over the investigation.
Court records show that no charges were filed against Kibler.
