The Champion High School softball team is celebrating yet another victory season at the Eastwood Mall.

The team earned its place in the record books after winning the 2018 Ohio Division Championship June 2, earning not only their fifth state title since 2011 but also their second back-to-back title.

The team defeated Cardington-Lincoln 9-4.

To celebrate the team's accomplishment, a victory rally is planned inside the Eastwood Mall's Center Court Tuesday, June 26 at 3 p.m.

Friends and family of the team, as well as public officials, will be present to congratulate the team on their win.

At the event, the Cafaro Foundation will also donate towards the Champion Local Schools for their athletic program.

The celebration will continue later on that day as the Mahoning Valley Scrappers honor the teammates prior to the Scrappers facing the Williamsport Crosscutters at 7:05 p.m. at Eastwood Field.
