YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Eastgate and the city of Youngstown are coming together to pitch a project to the Department of Transportation for improvements to downtown roads.

City officials say they are specifically looking to improve Fifth, Rayen, Commerce, Federal, Phelps and Front streets.

The city is having an open house on Thursday for people to review the project and give feedback.

Officials say the meeting is casual and anyone can stop in for a few minutes and provide the city with feedback.

The project includes safety accommodations, such as crosswalks and signage.

The project also includes changes to on-street parking.
