A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after a tree fell on him in Poland Municipal Forest.

POLAND, Ohio - A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after a tree fell on him in Poland Municipal Forest.

Police on scene tell us the man was in the woods looking for owls.

Crews were called to the scene around 9 p.m.

Authorities say the man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It is unknown at this time why the tree fell.
