CAMPBELL, Ohio - Campbell's Board of Education plans to meet in special session Monday to talk about what they'll do if teachers go on strike two days before classes are set to resume.

Members of the Campbell Education Association have authorized union leaders to issue a ten-day strike notification if contract talks fail to come up with a new labor agreement.

A statement issued by the school board on Tuesday announced a special Monday meeting to “consider taking action regarding the work stoppage that has been declared to begin on August 20.”

The board says part of the meeting will take place behind closed doors.

School officials say the next contract bargaining session is set for August 14.

Classes are scheduled to resume on August 22.
