Youngstown police are searching for a suspect they believe shot a man on Tuesday. A warrant has been issued for 34-year-old Jerry Womack. Officer have discovered information that ties Womack to the shooting of 29-year-old Larry Burgess, which took place on Mumford Drive. YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown Police are searching for a suspect they believe shot a man on Tuesday.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 34-year-old Jerry Womack.
Officers have discovered information that ties Womack to the shooting of 29-year-old Larry Burgess.
Burgess was conscious when the police found him at a home on Mumford Drive, and he told the officers that he came over to the house to see his girlfriend.
Police said that's when Burgess said he saw another man in the house and they went into the basement where he was shot.
Womack is being charged with felonious assault and having weapons under disability.
According to authorities, Womack may be armed and dangerous.
